MELBOURNE'S NEWEST JUNIOR RUGBY CLUB

Inspired by the colours of the famous French Racing 92 club, the Racing Rugby Club of Melbourne has somewhat similar beginnings to its namesake, which originally started as an amateur athletics (racing) club in metropolitan Paris in 1882.  Our story involves a group of passionate athletics and rugby parents wanting to develop a rugby footprint in their local Bayside, Glen Eira, Kingston and Port Phillip municipalities.

The Racing Rugby Club of Melbourne is a junior club affiliated with the Victorian Rugby Union (VRU) and provides quality coaching for boys and girls between the ages of 5 to 18.  At the club players will have the opportunity to learn and enjoy the game and meet new friends.  We focus on leadership, knowledge of the game, skills and conditioning in a safe environment where a strong sense of equality, sportsmanship and fairplay are encouraged.

Our aim is to develop strong links with the local public and private primary and secondary school communities in the area by introducing the game as part of a sports or after school care program.

We will assist in developing the game in the local community by sponsoring and hosting both boys and girls Viva 7’s and 7’s Rugby gala days, skills development academies and holiday programs.
